The youth and young families are bored and need a rec center that is open for numerous activities on a daily basis. There is floor hockey, volleyball, indoor soccer and anybody new to town has no clue how to get involved. why can't we have one facility that could acommidate all of these needs and the needs of the future. An addition to the aquatic center would be the ideal spot. St. Paul has a great soccer facility next to what could be a great camping area (stagging area) why can't we finish this area by first opening the stagging area up to the public, finishing the pond and then creating a ball diamond area like the soccer fields. This could open up the oppertunities for well organised softball, fastball and modified ball tournaments, which would get a more youthful flow through St. Paul. To encourage our youth to stay you must make it feasible for them to stay. There is a shortage of affordable homes in St. Paul along with a shortage of well paying jobs. There are a few fixes. Getting small industry into St. Paul, industry that doesn't require a high education level and or one that will help to create a skilled (trades people)work force. Youth need money in there pocket or see a future for them in the town, not see an opertunity for them when someone retires. The town should look to attract buisness that will create theses jobs. It will help attract youth as well as create job since it will pull adults working at student type jobs (fast food/grocery) and put them into a more approprate salary for a family or a future family. The town should also address the need for afordable housing. We need more rental properties. This can be encouraged by the creation of some smaller lots with min. sideyards. They are the most feasible to create and service, thus bringing the cost of the lot down. This will create a more affordable market for the young people now (first time home onwners) and eventually rental properties. This can also be encouraged by duplex's or fourplex's. As our community grow's there in a larger need for condominums which creates a higher density of living, which makes the price of land more feasible since there can be more units on a specific peice of land.

The youth need an outlet like a multi-plex for them to be able to get active in a unstructured environment. Young couples are also looking for alternatives other than lounges or clubs. We also need to have employment opportunities for them and childcare for their children.
