The Alberta Brain Injury Network in partnership with St. Paul Abilities Network (SPAN) Power Merchants, Genesis Home Ltd, Victim Services and the Health Unit would like to extend an invitation out to all community members to come have a complimentary lunch, view our displays and receive advice on how to safely ride and use all terrain vehicles (ATV) from 11-2pm June 4th.
Between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2006 there were 64 deaths relating to the use of ATV’s in Alberta. Head injuries were the leading cause of death (of those who died as a result of a head injury, 82% were not wearing a helmet).
