Summary of a July 2008 report to assess the environmental conditions of the Mulhurst Lagoon infrasture and the condition of the associated sewer collection system operated by the Northeast Pigeon Lake Regional Services Commission.
The initial State of the Watershed Report, prepared by Aquality Environmental Consulting, brings together the current environmental information about the Pigeon Lake Watershed.
The Report identified five areas of concern and associated responsibilities. It contains a number of recommendations involving planning, stewardship and, reclamation and restoration. It also identifies twelve priorities as next steps.
This report, along with other external reports and the current work being undertaking by Aquality Environmental Consulting Ltd. on the state of the Pigeon Lake watershed will be reviewed by the PLWA Technical and Research Committee. In due course, the Committee will be making recommendations to the PLWA Board.
